It is a sad, funny and very beautiful book.

There were allegations that this song is about heroin when it came out in 1981. But there will more likely by allegations from coworkers that you are listening to “some renaissance faire crap” if you listen to this at work today.

Begins with “Thunder Road”. Which is so good you never listen to anything else again and cry yourself to sleep every night for the rest of your life.
But you would miss out on 39! more songs. Sometimes there can be too much Clarence for my taste, but with “The River”, “Jersey Girl” (written by Tom Waits), and “Spirits of the Night”, one can forgive.
