Come and have some fun – if you are invited of course. Oh, and the picture represents a gift I might expect to receive, not a party activity, but imagine if the condom dude met up with the olives in the martini painting.

Spend a Couple Hours »Knitting
My attempt at knitting last year resulted in a scarf too short and too fat to be of much use to anyone. That doesn't mean I didn't have a wonderful time knitting it, and Knit NY is part of the reason why. Part cafe, part store, you can sit with friends and knit while sipping Chai lattes.

Spend a Couple Hours »Palisades Center Mall
And I do mean a couple hours, over that and you start to get a bit insane. But with a Fatburger, an ice skating rink, a carousel, a ferris wheel, two movie theaters, and a Target… there isn't much you can't do at this four story monster of fun.

Spend a Couple Hours »Miniature Golf at the Bushwick Country Club
I have to admit that I was too hung over from the previous night to enjoy the backyard miniature golf at BCC. And although I don't usually like to recommend anything I haven't tried first hand, I did witness other people's joy. Also, the staff is very nice and the photo booth delivers good black and whites. A good place for a birthday party.

Spend a Couple Hours »About Glamour shop and gallery
A quirky shop up front with French stationary and knickknacks, a vintage clothing store in the middle, and a small gallery with a show that changes monthly. The current exhibit, which is up until the 29th, features artists books and small print comics. The staff is extremely friendly and it is a soothing place to browse.

Spend a Couple Hours »Colors of Fashion Exhibit
If you love fashion, you must go to this show. In the beautiful Carnegie Mansion, you are guided through color coordinated rooms of Balenciagas, Viktor and Rolfs, 18th century riding dresses, Vionnet and Chanel. The brochure alone is worth the admission, displaying a photograph of each piece of clothing. Open until March 26, but don't wait and let it pass you by.

Spend a Couple Hours »Hot Stone Massage
I received this unbelievable massage as a gift last year and it cured me of some shoulder problems I was having. One of the most worth-while indulgences ever.

Spend a Couple Hours »Getting a hair cut at Public
You might as well spruce yourself up for all the Holiday parties, and this is the place to do it. All of the haridressers are excellent. As you can tell from my current photo, they just cut off fifteen inches for me.

Spend a Couple Hours »Flushing Meadows Corona Park
This is the old site of the World's Fair and it is super weird – especially this time of year. There is an elivated hole with weeds in it called “The Fountain of the Planet of the Apes.” The towers from the fair rot and creak and totally creep you out. You can also go ice skating or go to a smelly zoo.
Maybe I am not selling this correctly – Okay – the panorama at the art museum is AWESOME and worth the trip alone.

Spend a Couple Hours »Play D&D
This week Dan's character, Nab Dabney, who's made a break with the main land in an attempt to find the bad news roofer who ripped off his mom (according to a nude sketch Nab Dabney's mom made of the roofer, the guy is the spitting image of actor Dennis Farina) fell under the sway of a powerful Genie that had been kept in a plain looking sugar bowl for weeks on end. Then Nab tried to seduce Mike's character, Fucshia Bloodmir, but she cast a charm spell on him and then magically put him to sleep. Oh, and the players all visited a steak house called Mikey's Pump and Rump where the Genie possessed a waitress and laid out its plan for vengeance. There wasn't any fighting, but sometimes those are the best games.
